Boosting the Web3 project’s ROI is no joke

Call on 911 DevOps crew!

Hello, it’s Daniel here!

While chatting with our potential clients with blockchain projects, all our scenarios revolve around one question: When will we get our money back if we invest in DevOps services today?

 ROI = (Net Profit / Total Investment) x 100.

I’m not an oracle to say that, but from our experience, it always depends on the level of the team’s discomfort caused by the four dreadful horsemen of blockchain projects:

  1. Unpredictable and unstoppable expenses;

  2. Slow and inefficient scaling;

  3. Zero-level security;

  4. Manual approach everywhere.

So these conditions that drain your budget can be cured with DevOps injections. A blockchain project without DevOps is like driving a Ferrari with bicycle tires—it looks cool, but won’t get you very far! But it may only be my opinion; let’s see what others think.

Dr. Ravi Chamria, co-founder of Zeeve, emphasizes that the automation of Blockchain DevOps "smooths out adoption barriers," particularly by streamlining deployment and post-production management.

Sandeep Nailwal, the co-founder of Polygon, notes that "interoperability and scaling" achieved through Blockchain DevOps are essential for maximizing ROI, particularly for enterprises that need scalable solutions across distributed environments.

Well said indeed. Dysnix helped with those “interoperability and scaling” a little:

Changes DevOps brings to your blockchain project

Fast time-to-market

Resource control

No scaling issues

Reduced risks

Reduced latency

Data-driven culture

Depending on what stage of growth your project is now, some of these points may excite you more than others.

  • Startups might be interested in quicker releases that directly impact ROI by enabling faster response to market demands and opportunities. Thus, the Web3 project is rolled out sooner and adapted based on real-time feedback.

  • SMEs want to keep their resources under control, get improved UX, and never think about security risks and compliance again. A robust DevSecOps, load balancing, and other DevOps practices can proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities and performance instabilities, lowering compliance and remediation costs, and ultimately enhancing ROI.

  • For enterprises, things are clear: scale and stay ahead of the trends. This ability to scale without service interruptions encourages adoption, ensuring customer loyalty and long-term revenue. And having data that provides insights into user behavior and operational bottlenecks, allows teams to optimize for higher ROI by identifying exactly where improvements will have the greatest impact.

So go and get yourself some IaC and CI/CD for God’s sake!

This talk I started only to have a chance to share this old anecdote with you:

“What did the DevOps engineer say to the blockchain?
‘I deploy faster than you can verify!’”

My fellow blockchain engineers and I encourage you to implement DevOps practices as soon as possible. To make it a part of your culture, to avoid all sorts of disgusting mistakes everyone makes without proper automation and security care.

And if you don’t know how to start with DevOps in Web3, just let us help you out

Hope your projects are growing well!

BW,

Daniel
